Banknote Security Features
- Watermark — a portrait of the historical figure depicted on the note, clearly visible when held to light.
- Security thread — a solid or windowed metallized strip embedded in the paper.
- MASK element — the word «сом» appears when the note is held up to light.
- Colour-shifting ink — the denomination or ornament changes colour depending on the viewing angle.
- Raised (tactile) printing — a mark for people with visual impairments.
- Microtext and a register (see-through) image on the front and back of the note.
- UV-luminescent security fibres randomly embedded in the paper.
